RINGO 3D · last updated 3 September 2026
RINGO 3D has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you type is kept after the game it belongs to has finished, and nothing recorded identifies you.
What stays on your own device
The game remembers a few small things in your browser's local storage. These never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them:
- The name you last played under, so you don't retype it.
- The computer-opponent difficulty you last chose.
- Whether the music is on or off.
- A seat token, so you can rejoin a game you were already in.
- A marker noting that a game is open in this tab.
What reaches the server, and for how long
Only when you play online. Pass & Play and games against the computer never contact a server at all.
- The name you type and, if you open a room, the room's name. Other players in that room see them. They are held only while the room exists and are deleted with it: within an hour for a room that never started, and within a day for a game in progress.
- The moves you make, so everyone in the room sees the same board. Deleted with the room.
- Emoji reactions, chosen from a fixed set of six. They are passed along and never stored.
There is no chat in RINGO 3D. There is nowhere to type free text to another player apart from your own name and, if you host one, your room's name.
What we count
The server records a timestamp each time the site is opened, so we know roughly how many games are being played. That record holds no address, no device identifier and nothing else at all. It cannot be connected to you or to any other visit.
To stop one machine flooding the game with junk rooms, the server keeps a short-lived count of how many rooms an address has opened recently. The address itself is never written down: it is put through a one-way hash first, and the count is discarded within a day.
Children
RINGO 3D is a family board game and its content suits all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. The only thing a player provides is a display name, which they choose themselves and which disappears with the room.
Other companies
- Amazon Web Services hosts the game and the rooms, in the United States.
- Google Fonts serves the two typefaces the page uses. Loading them means your browser contacts Google's servers, which sees your IP address as it would for any website you visit. We send Google nothing about you beyond that request.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is shared with anyone for advertising. There are no advertising or analytics libraries in the game.
Your choices
Because nothing is stored about you, there is no account to delete and nothing to request. Clearing your browser data removes everything held on your device. Leaving a room, or simply letting it expire, removes the name you played under.
Changes
If this ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
